There is actually not much that we could use from the Cleveland. But, on the other hand, there weren't any structural changes necessary either (as there would be on a 427 conversion, for instance). The motor mounts bolted right up, the bell housing is the same, the same flywheel and clutch is used, same starter, same carb... Here's a list of what I think could have been reused:
But, I only reused the stuff in bold. I bought a new flywheel and clutch as well as a new harmonic damper, and decided to go with a new electronic ignition.
We did also end up using the timing pointer from the Cleveland, but not as originally designed. It fit perfectly as the throttle spring holder when we mounted the carb to the intake. :)
